World Series of Poker - World Series of Poker

Frank O’Dell has been there before.

The winner of the $2,000 Limit Omaha High-Low competition at the 2007 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, O’Dell also won an Omaha High-Low event at the 2003 WSOP.

For his latest win, O’Dell pockets $240,057. In 10 years of tournament play, the Long Beach, California resident has totaled more than $1.4 million in winnings.

“I just want to relax,” O’Dell said. “To me, a win is more important than money or anything else. It’s a great experience.”

Marcel Luske, one of the top poker players in the world, finished fourth. The popular Dutchman has yet to win a WSOP event.

Marvin Ryan, a decorated Vietnam vet from Flagstaff, Arizona, was fifth, collecting $47,136. He plans on spending a portion of his winnings on his daughter’s tuition for optometry school.

One of the first players to learn poker on the Internet, Ming Lee, from Natick, Massachusetts, was seventh. He began playing online in the early 1990s.

Mitch Maples, who finished 606th out of 8,773 players in the 2006 Main Event, was ninth, while John Juanda took 10th. It marked the 37th time Juanda has cashed at the WSOP, which is 16th on the all-time list.
