Winning twice made Tom Schneider hard to beat. Schneider, with a pair of impressive wins, has been named the Milwaukee’s Best Light Player of the Year for the 2007 WSOP. In addition to the two bracelets, Schneider has earned $416,826 and accumulated 255 points. Jeffrey Lisandro, with one win and 225 points, placed second, while Robert Mizrachi, with a win, 210 points and $861,138 in winnings, was third. He hasn’t won any events, but Scotty Nguyen totaled 180 points and has collected $201,573 – putting him at fourth overall. Phil Hellmuth, who won his 11th WSOP bracelet this year, took fifth, with 170 points. He has won $743,564. Scott Clements, who won an event in 2006, and duplicated that feat this year, was sixth. He’s taken home $327,904. Chris Bjorin was seventh, while Rene Mouritsen finished eighth. Neither player has won an event in 2007, but both have had substantial impacts. Bjorin has 165 points and has been paid $305,415. Mouritsen has won $612,874. Russia’s Alexander Kravchenko, with one win, 155 points and $268,184 in winnings, was ninth. William Durkee, who has won one bracelet and has four cashes, was 10th. Durkee, thus far, has won $619,201. Players didn’t, and won’t, earn points for several competitions, including the $10,000 Main Event (Event 55), the $1,000 World Championship Ladies Event (Event 17) and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. World Championship (Event 39). Under the scoring system, players received 100 points for winning an event or a shootout.
