Ville Wahlbeck got it done. A former freelance journalist, Wahlbeck outlasted 193 other players to win the Mixed Event World Championship, Event 12, of the 2009 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. With the win – his first at the WSOP – Wahlbeck has now cashed seven times.

His earnings at the World Series total $702,310.

Doyle Brunson was 15th, collecting $21,357.

Eric Froehlich (17th) and John Cernuto (20th) also cashed in Event 12.
